Entry #2. Don't believe everything you think ! ( self generated)

 What does that mean?

Ever since I was a little kid I struggled with overthinking but I never bothered to question it until about 3 months ago. why do we Overthink? what causes our head to go to the absolute worst case scenario every time? What causes us to think the way we do, and what causes other people to think in different ways. After some exploring on the internet I found this book, and while it doesn't explain everything it showed me a new perspective on our ideas and thoughts that I feel needs to be shared. Joseph Nguyen, explains the difference between our thoughts and ideas how our thoughts and ideas effect our everyday lives in ways we do not realize.

 Thoughts VS Ideas

Although the author explores many different aspects of thinking what really caught my eye was the comparison of Thoughts versus Ideas. Nguyen separates the two mental processes and describes Thought as a "conditioned response" meaning that our thoughts can be influenced by past experiences, are often a reaction to something and can stem from previous experiences. Our thoughts can be repetitive and occur from a habit or cycle that we follow in our everyday lives. Nguyen goes on to explain that our thoughts are not "fact", meaning that they have no truth or power unless we the creators of the thoughts give them power ourselves. This is essentially the meaning of "don't believe everything you think", When a thought occurs, it has the power to control the rest of your day or even change the way you believe/view a certain situation. What Nguyen explains is that it is up to us to not give that thought power over us, to not believe it or even acknowledge it at all. To stop overthinking it is important to not acknowledging the thoughts that can control us.

Furthermore, the author explains Ideas in the opposite way. While our thoughts can hold power over us and lead us in a negative direction, our ideas come from within, usually when the mind is relaxed and able to think naturally. Our ideas don't come from anxiety or insecurity the same way a thought can but rather can open up new possibilities for us if we choose to act on them. While this may sound a little far-fetched, what Nguyen is essentially saying is that ideas stem from creativity and relaxation like having an idea while on a walk or maybe even a shower thought.

To summarize the perspective of Thoughts vs Ideas its important to remember that our minds can be compared to a highway of thoughts and ideas and while I can't fully go in depth about this perspective I can say that the key takeaway is that not every thought is worth believing but an Inspiring idea is worth chasing.

Entry #1. A Necessary Hobby

Weightlifting & Hypertrophy Training Image source I still remember the first day I stepped into the gym, I couldn't help but feel helpless and lost as I looked through different machines that looked Complex and even made me feel confused at times. But I was still so excited to begin my fitness journey and finally build the body that I've been wanting. The Fitness world can be very complex but over the years I've been able to gather the most important things a beginner lifter should know and just about everything you need to know to accomplish your goal in the gym. image source     To achieve success in the gym you have to really understand your goal. The reason I decided to begin working out and got a gym membership was because I wanted to lose weight and build muscle. I always dreamt of the solid abs and huge arms but For a while it was just a dream. Some may be targeting fat loss, others are trying to put on weight or maybe even just focusing on staying overall he...

Entry #4. The Importance of Optimal Hydration

It's often overlooked ! Image Source     My entire life I've lived in hot desert like environments, so sweating and being dehydrated is nothing new to me, and often times when I would walk home from school I would feel dehydrated as I sweat in the sun. But as I grew older and developed a love for physical health and overall well being I began to understand the importance of staying hydrated. Growing up I drank a variety of beverages from Capri-sun to different sodas and juices, but when I began to understand the effects different sugars and carbohydrates hold on your face I began to stray away from any drink that wasn't water. The hardest beverage to stray away from for me was Dark sodas such as Coke, Pepsi, Root Beer, Dr. Pepper or any drink with large amounts of refined sugars and high fructose corn syrup. In the beginning I would substitute these drinks with their Diet counter parts but I began to understand that even diet sodas contain artificial sweeteners and diff...

ChatGPT'S End And TMZ'S Hidden Purpose

The Fall of ChatGPT? While I've always known about blogs, I had no idea just how popular and useful they could be. This blog caught my attention specifically as it discusses Deepseeks launch and how it has affected the U.S Stock market. One aspect of this blog in particular that drew my attention was the tone. I liked how the tone remained professional but dramatic, which helped portray the implications going on in the Stock market. What separates a blog from a website and what really caught my eye was the amount of information that helped provide a structure for the new events, since a blog is constantly being updated, it was rather easy to find information on previous topics and I can keep coming back to stay informed. The blog also utilizes an easy to follow format that follows chronological order, it makes a claim in the introduction, then dives into expert reactions such as Intel's CEO to get a different perspective of events with and ultimately ending the blog with a bro...
